Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to Indigenous Perspectives in Reducing Whale Harm in Shipping Practice, in this module you will explore different methods of resistance from Indigenous communities around Canada in combatting the harmful effects of shipping practices on marine wildlife, whales in particular. Work your way around the map, making sure to carefully consider the Indigenous ways of knowing that play a role in approaching the topic of whale preservation within coastal shipping routes in Canada. Feel free to explore the sources provided in the 'Learn More Here' page and engage more with Indigenous marine stewardship across Canada's coast! Got it
